Japan always follows a systematic approach, whether it's regarding technology or business. The same is the case with Japan Airlines. This airline is very considerate and smart, and when it comes to children on the flight, they are extra careful with policy generation and execution. There are many services that are associated with the kids, like changing stands, baby food, strollers, etc. You can not carry every article necessary for air travel with kids, but you can leave the service and article part to the airline. You only need to focus on the part that you play for your kids on this trip and how to ensure the safety of your children. These parts include child fare and rules you need to follow. This webpage has especially collected the necessary details specific only to your kids, so read through these lines and start your preparation.

Know about Ticket Cost for child

If you are about to fly with children (or infants), please remember these points at the time of planning your trip.

  • Although the airline has a set rule for the ticket price for children and infants, the  Japan Airlines child fare proportions may vary based on the class and other travel factors. The cost of an infant's ticket is usually 10% of that of the adult. Infant fare is only applicable if the infant occupies the seat.

  • Ticket cost for children (age 2 to 11) is 75% of the adult ticket fare. So if you are traveling first class, your child's ticket fare would be 75% of your own first-class ticket fare.

  • If an adult travels with 2 infants, then the airline will apply the child's fare to one of the infants.

  • Single adults are only allowed to travel with two infants. However, if the passenger is pregnant and due to deliver within 28 days or less, they can only travel with one infant who should not be over 12 months old.

  • Children who are younger than 5 years of age are not allowed to travel unaccompanied. An adult must accompany them.

  • Child fare usually includes first-class child fare, class J child fare, and the basic child fare that is described in the previous points.

  • If there are some flight changes that one needs to make, the airline will follow the similar policy they follow for adults. You need to pay the change fee in accordance with the Japan Airlines child fare and other rules that the airline follows. These will depend on the ticket type, route, origin, destination, and date of travel.

To know the exact amount of the fare, other charges, and facilities available, please go through the ticket scheme on the website or talk with the customer care representative.
